Inverness's annual free Hogmanay party - "the largest free Hogmanay party in Scotland" - is a 5-hour long family-friendly fling featuring several different bands, fireworks at midnight, and food and drink. Doors open 7.00pm.
In 2013, Big Country headline, with special guests Treacherous Orchestra, Whisky River Band and Skerryvore from Tiree.
The event is being filmed by BBC Alba and BBC Scotland and watch out for the nationwide Auld Lang Syne after the fireworks and the bells. Comedian Craig Hill hosts.
Organisers advice: Children are welcome. Hot Food and Bar available on site. Do not bring alcohol on to the site or "arrive having overdone the cocktails". This is an outdoor standing concert. There is a car park for spectators with mobility needs at the front of the Highland Council HQ and a viewing platform for wheelchair users.
